Black Mountains Lions Club, founded in 1973, is part of the Lions Clubs International, an association of 1.31 million Members in more than 46,000 Clubs, located in 205 countries.
Lions Clubs began in 1917 as the dream of a Chicago businessman who believed that local business Clubs should expand their horizons, from purely professional concerns,to the betterment of their communities and the world at large.
The association network of men and women work together to answer the needs that challenge communities across the world.
Members of The Black Mountain Lions Club predominantly serve our local community based in and around Hay-on-Wye. Equally importantly Members enjoy an interesting and varied social life.
ALL the money we collect has to be used
for good causes; the overheads of the Association is met
by the subscriptions of Members.
